Former President Donald Trump spent Mother’s Day having brunch with wife Melania and youngest son Barron on Sunday — before jetting out to spend the summer in New Jersey, according to a report.
In pictures shared on social media, Trump was seen greeting supporters while having a last brunch at his Mar-a-Lago resort with Melania, 51, and their 15-year-old son Barron.
The former first lady wore a polka dot dress, while her son matched his dad in wearing a suit.
Hours later, the former president was photographed by the Daily Mail getting on a Cessna registered to one of his companies as he jetted out of Florida to his golf club in Bedminster, NJ.
Aides were spotted carrying a number of boxes onto the plane, matching previous reports that Trump planned to relocate his political and fundraising operations to Bedminster for the summer.
Melania and Barron were not seen traveling with him, and it was not immediately clear if they planned to join him in New Jersey, the Mail said.
However, a source told the outlet that Mar-a-Lago’s “main house will close till the fall and the Trumps will depart to spend the summer at their club in Bedminster,” suggesting his family would join him at some point.
Trump’s 39-year-old daughter, Ivanka, and her husband Jared Kushner, 40, have a property on the Bedminster resort that they have been renovating, suggesting they also plan to spend more time there.
The seasonal residence switch is nothing new for the former president.
“It’s what he has done for 20 years – spend the winter in Florida and then go back north,” Florida Republican operative Larry Casey previously told the Daily Mail.
